Flagship model NE-C1475 features SD-card technology that allows 99 recipes to be programmed

February 20, 2007

Panasonic, the leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics and home appliances, has announced the launch of its latest range of commercial microwaves and combination ovens in the Middle East.

The flagship model in the latest range is the NE-C1475 combination oven that is a microwave, a convectional oven and a grill rolled into one. The stand-out feature of this oven is the SD-card technology that allows 99 recipes to be programmed into the oven at any one time. All programmes are automatically updated with no need for manual programming. Moreover, recipes can also be e-mailed to all outlets within a catering or restaurant chain and saved onto their SD-card without having to programme individual ovens with the same recipes.

"Panasonic has been involved in the manufacture of commercial microwave ovens since four decades now and till date we have maintained a special commitment to the specific needs of professional caterers. Our latest range of commercial microwaves and combination ovens is a result of extensive research and incorporates the very best in technology and design," said Abby Thomas, Product Manager of Panasonic Marketing, Middle East.

"The NE-C1475 combination oven with the SD-card technology takes innovation and customer satisfaction to new levels. Users will find this oven ideally suited for a range of cooking needs and we anticipate heavy demand for this model in the Middle East's thriving food industry," he added.

Combination cooking uses either oven, grill and microwave working simultaneously, or one after the other in sequence. The NE-C1475 offers a host of features such as 4-hour pre-heat timer with three temperature settings, fast cool feature to quickly reduce oven temperature for easy cleaning and low temperature cooking, beep tone option and a program lock that allows one-touch operation.

The new models of Panasonic's microwave ovens launched in the Middle East include NE-1880 Heavy Duty - Gastronorm size, the NE-2156-2 and NE-1656 Heavy Duty - Compact size, and also the NE-1037 Medium Duty oven.

The NE-1880 Heavy Duty - Gastronorm size microwave oven is ideal for use in institutional catering, hospitals, food manufacturing factories, staff canteens, large restaurants and hotels. The robust design of these ovens means that they have the power and large capacity to sustain consistent output in quick time. The oven has a heavy duty stainless steel body and cavity, programmable touch controls, pull-to-open drop down door and beep tone option.

The Heavy Duty- Compact size ovens are designed to achieve fast single-portion output, and are ideal for fast food sites, convenience stores, food courts in train stations and such places where there is high turnover. The dual emission top and bottom energy feed of the oven ensures even heating and it also provides both manual and programmed options for heating.

Panasonic's NE-1037 Medium Duty oven is a simple to use, programmable oven designed to withstand the rigours of commercial use. Whether reheating composite dishes and snacks from the freezer or cooking food, this oven meets the demand of busy caterers who have medium out put requirements.

"Panasonic's commercial microwave ovens offer the 'Speed and Even Defrosting' feature that minimise the drip and flavour loss from food, shorten the defrosting time and minimises the temperature difference between surface and the inside of food. Keeping with Panasonic's goal of offering the best products to the consumer, we will continue to introduce innovative product offerings in line with changing customer requirements," concluded Thomas.

Specialized training, live demonstrations and cookery shows will be provided in each region throughout the Middle East to highlight the commercial microwaves' performance abilities.
