Palmieri Appointed to Burn Foundation Board of Directors


LANSDALE, Pa. (September 2, 2009) - Darren Palmieri, national product manager of residential fire protection at Tyco Fire Suppression & Building Products (TFSBP), has been appointed to the Burn Foundation's Board of Directors. As a board member, Palmieri will contribute his fire protection knowledge to enhance the foundation's efforts around burn prevention education.

"Fire prevention is a cause that is passionately pursued here at Tyco," said Palmieri. "I am honored to have been selected for board membership and eager to help the Burn Foundation advance its noble cause and mission."

During his four years as product manager for TFSBP, Palmieri has been dedicated to increasing residential sprinkler system and fire protection awareness across the country. He has an extensive background in marketing, business development, strategic planning and advertising, which he will also contribute to the board.

Based in Philadelphia, the Burn Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to educating families, emergency workers and the medical community about burn prevention and offering recovery assistance to burn survivors and their families. During the last five years, the foundation has donated more than $1.8 million to four burn medical centers, which include Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Lehigh Valley Hospital, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and Temple University Hospital.
