Pace's DV315 eMTA Awarded CableLabs' Certifications

BOCA RATON, Fla., - October 19, 2005: Pace Micro Technology, a leading digital set-top box provider specializing in the development of emerging technologies today announced that its DV315, a wideband voice Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter (eMTA), has been awarded PacketCableTM 1.0, DOCSIS 2.0, and DOCSIS 1.1 certification by CableLabs in its certification wave 38.

Announced earlier this year, Pace's DV315 eMTA was designed for Voice Over IP (VoIP) high-bandwidth capacity. The DV315 is a highly integrated component design providing extremely low power consumption, long battery life for life-line service during power outages and support for a wide variety of voice codecs for maximum operator flexibility.

"We're pleased to have achieved PacketCable and DOCSIS certifications so quickly after launching our high-bandwidth capability eMTA," said Pace's V.P. of Marketing and Product Management Bruce Gureck. "This certification underscores our commitment to providing cable operators with a family of cable products. Pace currently offers a wide range of video products and our DV315 product has extended this to include voice and data. Ultimately, we want to provide the most added-value to our customers."
