Superstorm Sandy affected millions of people on the East Coast; it was a truly horrible experience for many, and unfortunately, the nightmare continues for far too many. The numbers are mindboggling; they include at least $65.5 billion in damages, millions of people without power for days, if not weeks, and tens of thousands of homes and businesses flooded or destroyed. With so many heartbreaking stories of loss, it has been hard for most of us to take them all in.
Because our headquarters are so close to Philadelphia, we got a firsthand look at the damage and destruction Sandy left in her wake. Therefore, we have been making every effort to help our customers who have been directly affected by Superstorm Sandy. Unfortunately, some of our clients found their strapping machines underwater after the storm. We sent many of our technicians out into the field, where they encountered various problems; including some strapping machines submerged under four feet of water. To help our clients, we have been offering not only all the repair options we possibly can, but also, depending on the specific situation, we may be able to replace equipment and offer new strapping.
