Torrance, CA - ORIENTAL MOTOR USA CORP. now offers 2800 USA standard RoHS compliant products with another 2500 RoHS compliant products available in Japan. Many of their standard motors and associative electronic drivers are now available in RoHS compliant versions. Other products will be added as their RoHS versions become available.
Oriental Motor is committed to global environmental safety. As of July 1, 2006, RoHS, the European Union (EU) Directive 2002/95-EC restricts the use of certain hazardous materials in electronic and electrical components and equipment in present and future use in Europe. These restricted substances include Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium Cr(VI), Polybrominated bipheyls (PBB), and Polydiphenyl ethers (PBDE). Electrical and electronic equipment must conform to a maximum content by weight of 0.1% for lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB and PBDE. The use of cadmium is restricted to 0.01% by weight in homogeneous materials.
