ONPATH Technologies Launches 'Always ON' Qualification Program

MARLTON, N.J., March 9, 2011 - ONPATH Technologies, the leader in scalable connectivity and monitoring solutions for high performance networks announced today that it has launched its new Always ON Interoperability Qualification Program. The program is designed to assist customers in the selection of multi-vendor storage and networking devices that can be implemented seamlessly within their networks to support high-performance solutions such as Cloud Networking, Network Monitoring, Test Automation, and Cyber Security applications.
As part of the Always ON Qualification Program, ONPATH has published a Fibre Channel Interoperability Matrix, which outlines the current vendor models, applications, and interfaces that are currently supported by the company's Universal Connectivity System family of products. Fibre Channel storage applications, especially at the newer and higher speeds, are often a significant challenge for SAN Managers desiring plug-and-play system interoperability. ONPATH's published matrix, along with an application-independent guarantee across the supported speeds, enables smooth technology upgrades and storage networking expansions.
Because ONPATH's UCS family offers a speed- and protocol-independent platform across a range of less than 1 Mbps to over 100 Gbps, new equipment and applications will be added to the Always ON Qualification Program. Ethernet and SONET devices across the speed range are already proven for support.
