OMAX® to Showcase Abrasive Waterjet Advancements at CMTS 2013

Attendees to discover how company’s waterjet technology maximizes machine time and profit margins

KENT, Wash. – OMAX Corporation, in conjunction with distribution partner Spark Co., will demonstrate the fast, precise cutting performance of its 60120 JetMachining® Center at the 2013 Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), taking place Sept. 30 - Oct. 3 in Mississauga, Ontario. Visitors to Booth 8608 will experience the bridge-style abrasive waterjet machine equipped with a 50 hp EnduroMAX® Pump and Tilt-A-Jet® cutting head.

The robust, reliable 60120 JetMachining Center easily handles a wide range of production runs across various industry segments. A perfect fit for space-challenged facilities, the machine can cut large complex parts up to 1.5 meters by 3 metersin size from a variety of materials and thicknesses, including advanced composites, exotic alloys, traditional metals and rubber.

Like all OMAX JetMachining Centers, the 60120 comes standard with the company’s intuitive Intelli-MAX® Software Suite. The software, when combined with the company’s powerful, highly efficient EnduroMAX Pump, provides higher cutting speeds and greater precision than competitive abrasive waterjet machines. As a result, users maximize both productivity and profit margins.

With the Tilt-A-Jet cutting head accessory, the 60120 JetMachining Center is able to achieve zero taper for precision cutting of high tolerance parts with square edges, including interlocking pieces and dovetail fittings. Through the control software, the Tilt-A-Jet automatically calculates and adjusts the angle of the nozzle to accurately remove the natural taper from the finished part by transferring it to the scrap material - all while maintaining extremely high cutting speeds.

With so many diverse offeringsin its product portfolio, which includes OMAX and MAXIEM branded solutions, OMAX Corporation offers the broadest range of table sizes, pumps, accessories, software and support on the market. Moreover, the company’s abrasive waterjet technology provides a flexible and beneficial alternative to conventional machining operations. In fact, with OMAX waterjet technology, manufacturers can accomplish quick turnaround of accurate parts without the hassle of tool changes or complex fixturing, as well as achieve smooth surface finishes without the need for secondary machining.

As the OMAX distributor for Canada, Spark & Co. will represent both the OMAX and MAXIEM product lines at CMTS 2013. To learn more about Spark & Co., please visit www.spark-co.com.
