OMAX® to Demonstrate 60120 JetMachining® Center at EASTEC
Latest combination of OMAX Intelli-MAX® Software Suite Version 13 and Dual Pump Package offer the fastest precision cutting of extremely complex parts
Kent, Washington, March 10, 2009 - OMAX Corporation's 60120 JetMachining Center will be on display in booth 1029 at EASTEC 2009. The robust precision machining performer will be demonstrated with the OMAX Dual Pump Package, Rotary Axis, Tilt-A-Jet® and full advantages of Intelli-MAX Software Suite Version 13 from May 19 - 21 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
OMAX's 60120 JetMachining Center is one of the most recent additions to the company's industry leading line of precision abrasive waterjet systems. The 60120 is a large format machine that is ideal for quick and accurate cutting of larger or multiple parts from stock up to 5 feet x 10 feet (1.5 m x 3 m). The robust and reliable system features a 600 lb abrasive delivery feed system, as well as an innovative traction drive that enables faster traverse speeds for a significant reduction in throughput times when machining multiple and nested parts.
The 60120 will be featured with the OMAX Dual Pump Package, a fully integrated system that utilizes two P4055V pumps to produce unprecedented cutting speed and power, and a significant reduction in machining time compared to previous cutting models. The system is specially designed for shops that focus on cutting thick, difficult to machine materials and have high-capacity production or multiple nozzle requirements.
The JetMachining Center will also be equipped with the new OMAX Rotary Axis, which is a robust, waterproof rotary head allowing the waterjet to cut XYZ paths to create complex 3D parts. The Rotary Axis is ideal for cutting pipe, circular, square, or other geometric-shaped stock materials.
Additionally, OMAX will demonstrate its Tilt-A-Jet system, which can achieve virtually zero taper. When the system is in use, software automatically calculates and offsets the natural taper that results from the abrasivejet. The taper is moved from the part to the scrap, leaving parts with perfectly square edges.
