OMAX® Demonstrates Abrasive Waterjet Innovations at EMO 2011

Kent, Washington, July 19, 2011 - OMAX Corporation will be demonstrating several of its
abrasive waterjet systems at EMO 2011 on September 19 - 24 in Hannover, Germany. The
company's stand E45 in Hall 15 at the show will feature two abrasive waterjet systems equipped with unique accessories designed to provide manufacturers with significant cost and time savings.

One of the systems will be the OMAX 60120 JetMachining® Center equipped with OMAX's EnduroMAX(TM) pump and Tilt-A-Jet® system. The other highlighted machine will be the
MAXIEM® 1515 JetCutting Center with a 30 kW (40 hp) pump and the A-Jet(TM) multi-axis
accessory.

As the smallest of OMAX's bridge-style waterjet machines, the OMAX 60120 sports a generous table size of 3,656 mm x 1,956 mm (144" x 77") that easily accommodates larger stock. The machine also features Intelli-TRAX® high-precision traction drive technology and an X-Y cutting travel of 3,200 mm x 1,575 mm (126" x 62").

The EnduroMAX pump for OMAX JetMachining Centers provides the OMAX 60120 with
double the operating life and makes for faster part processing, lower operating costs, and easier maintenance. It maximizes machine uptime with a 1,000-hour operating range between required pump rebuilds when run at 3,800 bar (55,000 psi), and its mean time between required rebuilds is double that of previous pump technology. However, the new pump effortlessly runs continuously at 4,100 bar (60,000 psi).

OMAX's Tilt-A-Jet system on the OMAX 60120 automatically calculates and offsets the
machine's cutting head to compensate for the natural taper that results from the abrasivejet stream. The result is virtually zero taper at cut edges.

The MAXIEM 1515 JetCutting Center, with a high-pressure direct drive 3,450 bar (50,000 psi)30 kw (40 hp) pump, features X-Y travels measuring 1,575 mm x 1,575 mm (62" x 62"). Its table size is 2,337 mm x 1,752 mm (92" x 69"), which supports maximum material loads of 1,221 kg/sq m (250 lbs/sq ft).

Manufactured in the United States, the MAXIEM 1515 integrates proven technologies in a costefficient package to provide users with an affordable, highly productive fabricating solution. Paired with the A-Jet accessory that cuts beveled edges and angles with an articulated jet, the MAXIEM 1515 readily cuts various angles within one tool path. Operators simply determine cutting parameters in the machine's easy-to-use controller software, or angles can be determined in part programs.

The articulated jet accurately positions within ±6 arc minutes (±0.09 degrees), and the additional two motion axes it provides allow for tilting the machine's nozzle over a range of 0° to 60° from the vertical position. Additionally, the A-Jet easily cuts countersunk holes and parts with complex geometries, and its fixed focal point design means the XYZ axes do not need to be moved as the head tilts.

For full global service and support, OMAX has over 23 distributors worldwide. At EMO 2011, OMAX's German distributor INNOMAX will be representing all of the worldwide distributors and provide local distributor contacts applicable to a customer's specific region.
