Ohio Transmission and Pump Company Changes to OTP Industrial Solutions

COLUMBUS, OHIO - Ohio Transmission & Pump Company has changed its name to OTP Industrial Solutions to better reflect its commitment to solving customer problems and improving customer results.

"We have outgrown the name we have used for more than five decades," stated Philip Derrow, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Our customers value our associates' technical knowledge and their ability to support a broad line up of the industry's best manufacturers."

Ohio Transmission & Pump Company began in 1963 in Columbus, Ohio as an industrial distributor of mechanical power transmission equipment and pumps. From the beginning, company leaders stressed the importance of hiring and developing the best associates, treating them right, and supporting their talents with state-of-the-art logistics systems and products from top manufacturers. This unique combination of "Technical Knowledge and "Broad Product Support" allows OTP to provide customers with the best quality products and services at the lowest possible costs.

In recent years, the company business strategy has been extended to include mergers and acquisitions with companies that share similar core values and customer-focused business cultures. Most recently, OTP acquired the assets and hired the associates of Midwest Fluid Power LLC, the leading technical fluid power supplier in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.

When announcing the new company name and logo, Derrow continued. "We are still under the same leadership team, with the same owners - including our employee owners - and the same commitment to continuous improvement and delivering value to our customers."
