NPCA Achieves FDOT Training Approval

Accreditation covers concrete pipe, box culvert, precast drainage structure products

NPCA was recently named an accredited training provider for concrete pipe, precast concrete drainage structures and box culvert products by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

The FDOT stamp of approval provides NPCA with an unprecedented opportunity to conduct Quality Assurance training for all Florida personnel involved in testing and inspection processes for these specific precast concrete product lines.

The FDOT designation follows the adoption of new state guidelines requiring precast manufacturers to complete approved training to be considered for all state bid projects. The new Florida guidelines take effect June 1.

NPCA will present a special FDOT module training May 23 in Orlando to ensure precast manufacturers in the region are compliant with the new guidelines. The FDOT module will be conducted in conjunction with the association's Production and Quality School (PQS) and PQS Level II-Technical course offerings.
