Noxilizer's NOX FLEX(TM) Rapid Biodecontamination System to Be Featured in Getinge and Weiler Engineering booths at ACHEMA World Forum

Over 3,800 exhibitors in Frankfurt, Germany June 15 – 19, 2015

Baltimore, MD – Noxilizer, Inc., the company advancing a room temperature, NO2-based sterilization and decontamination process for biopharmaceutical manufacturers announces that NOX FLEX™ Rapid Biodecontamination units will be on display in the Getinge Infection Control booth (Hall 3.1, E28) as a new option for the decontamination of isolator systems and lock-chambers. Getinge has branded the unit STERITRACE III, Noxilizer Inside.

Today, isolators are widely used throughout the bio-pharmaceutical industry. After an isolator is opened, it must be biodecontaminated before it may be used again. The current biodecontamination technology is hydrogen peroxide vapor (HPV), introduced over 20 years ago. The NOX FLEX™ uses nitrogen dioxide (NO2) with a rapid process and shorter aeration providing a biodecontamination process that takes half the time of HPV and improving efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing process. Another key benefit of NO2 is significantly reduced residual levels versus HPV, a valuable feature especially for sensitive drug products.

These same benefits have been demonstrated in the Weiler Engineering ASEP-TECH® Blow/Fill/Seal machines. The NOX FLEX™ system is designed for use with Weiler's patent-pending STERI-Shroud™ technology for decontamination and depyrogenation of the shroud area of Weiler's Blow/Fill/Seal Systems. (The Weiler Engineering booth is located at: Hall 3, Stand A47.)

Noxilizer has exclusive global supply agreements with both companies for their respective markets. "Getinge-La Calhène and Weiler Engineering are leaders in their respective isolator and blow/fill/seal industry segments and we are excited to be working with them," says Lawrence Bruder, Noxilizer CEO. "This is validation of the important benefits of nitrogen dioxide in sterilization and biodecontamination for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Exhibiting at ACHEMA is a tremendous opportunity to introduce the world to the benefits of NO2 technology."

ACHEMA World Forum runs from June 15 - 19, 2015 in Frankfurt, Germany.
