Noxilizer and Getinge-La Calhène Announce Exclusive Global Supply Agreement for Noxilizer to Provide NOX FLEX(TM) Rapid Biodecontamination Systems for Getinge Isolators - Providing a New Solution for the Bio-pharmaceutical Industry

Companies announce exclusive supply agreement for the life science market

Baltimore, MD and Vendôme, France - Noxilizer, Inc., the company advancing a room temperature, NO2-based sterilization process for bio-pharmaceutical manufacturers, and Getinge-La Calhène, a leader in the isolation technologies segment, announced today an exclusive global supply agreement. Noxilizer will provide the NOX FLEX™ Rapid Bio-decontamination units for Getinge-La Calhène's isolator systems.

Today, isolators are used throughout the bio-pharmaceutical industry. After an isolator is opened, it must be bio-decontaminated before it may be used again. The current biodecontamination technology is hydrogen peroxide vapor (HPV), introduced over 20 years ago. The NOX FLEX™ uses nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and provides a biodecontamination process that takes half the time of HPV, leading to improved efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing process. Another benefit of NO2 is that residual levels may be reduced to part-per-billion levels, a valuable feature for sensitive drug products, and a feature that is very difficult to achieve with HPV.

"Getinge-La Calhène is the leader in the isolation technology segment and we are excited to be working with them," says Lawrence Bruder, Noxilizer CEO. "This is validation of the important benefits of nitrogen dioxide in sterilization and biodecontamination for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry."

"We are committed to bringing our customers market leading innovations. The NOX FLEX™ Rapid Bio-decontamination system demonstrates Getinge-La Calhène's ability to bring new solutions that lead to improved efficiency and outcomes," says, Thierry Girard, President of Getinge-La Calhène. "Focusing on the success of our customers leads to success for Getinge-La Calhène."

Noxilizer and Getinge-La Calhène will be launching this effort at the ACHEMA meeting (June 15 - 19, 2015) in Frankfurt, Germany.
