Nitro Cutting Along with Herr & Sacco Build Custom Fabricated American Flag Measuring Roughly 12’ x 23’ and Weighing in at Almost 2,000 Pounds
Nitro Cutting Services along with Herr & Sacco, Inc. unveiled their latest collaboration on August 18, 2016 in front of more than 160 local business professionals. The vision became a reality when the curtain was lowered on the custom fabricated American Flag measuring roughly 12’ x 23’ and weighing in at almost 2,000 pounds. The project was started with the idea of paying respect as well as a way to say “Thank You” to all of the individuals along with their families that have fought for our freedoms and protected us from harm. From conception, to design, fabrication and installation this project was handled by craftsmen within the two organizations. In total more than 300 hours were dedicated to the project in hopes of creating a lasting reminder of the sacrifices made by so many. The unveiling of the flag included local law enforcement as well as all active and retired service persons in attendance were asked to join in. After a short introduction the individuals were led by Savannah and Kinzley to the front of the flag followed by the lowering of the curtain. Once the curtain was lowered a local singer sang our National Anthem bringing the event to a very powerful and moving conclusion. The flag will remain on display at Nitro Cutting Services in Manheim Pa. indefinitely as a symbol of our pride and admiration for everyone that continues to make this Country great.
