Nexus Launches Miniature Series ---Jacks and Plugs!
NEXUS, Inc., of Stamford, Connecticut, has responded to the numerous customer requests for miniature waterproof jacks and plugs. With over forty-five years experience as a leader in the military market, NEXUS has launched an entire line of miniature connectors. Outstanding features of the new products include the durability in severe environmental conditions as well as superior electrical performance.
Through the efforts of the engineering/design, quality assurance and tooling departments, NEXUS has become successful in manufacturing jacks and plugs with both seven and ten pin connectors. The dimensions of these jacks and plugs are approximately one half of the AP-107 and AJ-107. All of the newly-developed miniature series jacks and plugs are, as their lager siblings AP-107 and AJ-107 proven in their long service lives, waterproof and can be readily available for direct shipment.
Vice President, Fred Farahani, explains "that the development and design of creating the miniature series has been exciting for our NEXUS team. With continuous communication from our customers, we presented a product that was never before available for military type use. Now, we want all markets within the military realm to be aware that such a jack and plug exists. The future soldier will be carrying additional communication equipment in rugged terrain. We wanted to make something that was smaller than our AP-107 and AJ-107, but would still do the job. Our miniature series is the next generation for military specifications."
