Nexus Distribution Opens Chicago Land Bridge

Paving the Way for Shippers to Save Money and Time

New Option Provides Strategy for Midwest Distribution

CHICAGO, March 23, 2006 -- Finding a better solution for
distribution, third party logistics provider Nexus
Distribution announces the official opening of its "Chicago
Land Bridge." The nearly $1MM transportation project
includes the construction of a private roadway directly
linking a metro-Chicago CSX intermodal facility to a Nexus
distribution center.

The Chicago Land Bridge is designed to better connect
materials from international origins to the metro-Chicago
area for distribution to the Midwest region of the United
States. The unique attribute of the land bridge is that the
half-mile long private roadway can be used to transport
"heavy" containers, or containers weighing more than allowed
on U.S. public roadways.

Nexus' offering comes at a time when logisticians are under
pressure to squeeze costs out of their supply chains. For
companies that have already exhausted techniques such as
network consolidation, technology enhancements, vendor
management, and rate reduction campaigns, the Chicago Land
Bridge provides the opportunity to apply creativity to
supply chain strategy by leveraging intermodal movements to
yield significant savings.

Joining Nexus in this endeavor is CenterPoint Properties,
one of Chicago's largest and leading industrial property
companies, and its Australian joint venture partner, James
Fielding US Industrial Trust. David Pals of Lee and
Associates Commercial Real Estate Services also has a
critical role in the project's execution.

"[CenterPoint, James Fielding and Lee and Associates] were
integral in helping us launch this program," explains Mark
Ferzacca, Nexus Director of Business Development. "They
helped us develop the concept and we are grateful for their
unwavering support and persistence."

Using the Chicago Land Bridge, manufacturers and retailers
will be able to ship maximum weights via intermodal
transportation, avoid de-consolidation activities at the
port of entry, and send product straight to the Nexus
Chicago container freight station for storage or immediate
transload service, consolidation (with other freight), and
delivery directly to retail stores or customers. Expedited
drayage and delivery services will also be available given
the accessibility and proximity of the intermodal yard.

Coincidently, Nexus' opening of the Chicago Land Bridge
occurs as the shipping container celebrates its 50th
anniversary in April. With millions of containers in transit
today, nearly all of the world's goods spend at least some
time in one.

"These interchangeable metal boxes have changed the face of
the global economy and will continue to do so," says Nexus
President Will Hansen. "We are simply embracing an
opportunity to help our clients realize the benefits of
intermodal shipping and we look forward to delivering more
solutions for the local economy."
