New President Named for GE Energy's Services Business


ATLANTA, GA.-October 17, 2005-Daniel C. Heintzelman, a 26-year GE veteran and a company officer, has been named president of GE Energy's services business. Heintzelman joins GE Energy from GE Transportation, where he has led the aircraft engine services business for the past three years. He succeeds Ricardo Artigas, who has been president of GE Energy's services business since 1997 and will be retiring at the end of this year.

During his tenure with GE Transportation, Heintzelman held a series of leadership roles, including plant manager for GE's Rutland, Vt. facility and general manager of assembly operations at GE's Evendale, Ohio facility. He also held several general manager roles within the aircraft engine services business, including leading the global network of repair shops and several joint ventures, before becoming the business leader.

Heintzelman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial distribution from Clarkson University and is a member of the university's board of trustees.
