New Neat Cupper Lubricant from Quaker Chemical Quickly Becoming Market Leader
CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. - A new neat cupper lubricant from Quaker Chemical is quickly becoming recognized by global Can industry as one of the best products on the market, due to its high lubrication performance.
Quaker Chemical has offered a neat cupper lubricant to the global Can market since early 2009. However, their new QUAKEROL® Q30LV(E) uses an in-house ester that was developed based on Quaker's significant product development experience in the Steel rolling industry. QUAKEROL® Q30LV(E) results in significantly improved performance, specifically:
- superior "bleedthrough" protection;
- significantly reduced tear-of rates (reductions between 20% - 40% when
compared against Quaker's previous neat cupper lubricant and
competitive products);
- clean cupper tooling;
- cleaner can interiors (resulting in less camera rejects).
Quaker customers in Europe are currently using QUAKEROL® Q30LV(E), and are very satisfied with the results. Soon product will be used by customers in North America and Asia Pacific.
