New Identity for GE Supply GEXPRO Introduced

SHELTON, CONN., May 4, 2007 - Gexpro is the new brand name of the GE Supply business. Announced today, the name-change follows the acquisition of GE Supply by Rexel, the number one worldwide distributor of electrical supplies. Rexel acquired GE Supply from the General Electric Company in August, 2006 and the name change is part of an ongoing transition. Gexpro will continue to operate as an independent Rexel banner in the U.S.

According to Jeff Schaper, President and CEO of the $2.7 billion U.S.-based unit, "We are excited by the opportunity to establish the Gexpro name and continue to provide our customers with the broadest base of products and support in the industry. The Gexpro brand builds on over 100 years of GE Supply excellence while reinforcing our commitment to our core values of professionalism, accountability, customer-focus, experience and integrity."

The new brand is being announced to employees today and will be formally unveiled at the national meeting of the National Association of Electrical Distributors in Washington D.C. on May 6, 2007. The brand change to Gexpro will be phased-in throughout the current GE Supply locations worldwide.
