New Harris SC Shear Purchased by Sadoff Iron and Metal Company

Peachtree City, GA, May 28, 2010: Harris is pleased to announce that Sadoff Iron and Metal Company, a division of Sadoff & Rudoy Industries, LLP, has placed an order for a new Harris SC Shear. Sadoff revealed their plans for the shear in May at the ISRI show in San Diego and will install the shear in their Fond du Lac, Wisconsin operation. The new Harris SC shear is a state-of-the-art design that provides high-level performance and reduced energy consumption. The shear utilizes new, Harris EHD (Efficient Hydro-Dynamic) hydraulic technology (patent pending) that increases energy-efficiency and maximizes uptime.

Mark Katz, Vice President of Operations for Sadoff, states, "We have five Harris shears with over 30 years of service. We are eager to upgrade to new technology and increase production in our operation. Our comfort level with Harris's support and knowledge of shears is the reason Sadoff decided to work with Harris on the new SC Shear." Sadoff recycles both ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals, and operates shredding, shearing, and baling operations in six locations in Wisconsin and one in Nebraska.
