New Enhancements to the Industry's Easiest to Use Multi-Use Analyzer Widen Its Range of Processing Applications

IRVINE, Calif., June 26, 2007 - Emerson Process Management, Rosemount
Analytical today announced enhancements to the Model 1056, the easiest and
most flexible multi-parameter analyzer on the market. These additional
value-added features support a wide range of liquid analytical applications
for industrial, commercial and municipal users throughout the world. The
Model 1056 is well suited to OEMs and end users alike and includes the
following new capabilities:
. Turbidity measurement
. Flow measurement
. Alarm relays with timers
. More power supply options: universal 85-265VAC 50/60Hz and 20-30VDC
. 4-20mA signal input from an external device
. 4-electrode contacting conductivity sensor support
. Chinese language menus (simplified characters)

The intelligent single- or dual-input analyzer is now available to measure
turbidity and flow in any combination with pH/ORP/ISE,
resistivity/conductivity, percent concentration, chlorine (free, total,
monochloramine, pH-independent free chlorine), oxygen, ozone and
temperature. Turbidity measurement makes the Model 1056 an ideal easy-to-use
and cost-effective solution for potable water treatment plants. The Model
1056 can also now measure flow and accept input from pulse flow sensors, an
important capability for OEMs specializing in water analysis
instrumentation.

The Model 1056 intelligent analyzer now comes available with a choice of a
universal switching AC power supply or a 24VDC power supply to meet specific
customer requirements. The universal AC-driven power supply can be used in
both the U.S. and Europe with its auto-switching capabilities. The new AC
switching power supply and the 24VDC power supply include alarm relays with
programmable timers to allow alarms to be triggered when programmed
thresholds are reached or process events occur. In addition, the Model 1056
analyzer now supports 4-electrode contacting conductivity sensors and can
receive a 4-20mA current signal from an external source for continuous
temperature and pressure compensation.

The Model 1056 is the industry's easiest analyzer to use and maintain,
featuring the largest high-contrast LCD display available on a line-powered
instrument; advanced measurement diagnostics; simple, intuitive menus and
help-screens; and user menus in seven languages, including simplified
character Chinese used in mainland China. The instrument is equally easy to
set up with exclusive Quick-start screens that appear the first time the
instrument is powered up. The analyzer auto-recognizes each measurement
board installed within the device and the display prompts the user to
configure each sensor in a few quick steps for immediate deployment. The
instrument is designed with modular cards and easily removable connectors
making reconfiguration in the field possible. When measurement boards are
changed in the Model 1056, the analyzer automatically recognizes the
configuration change.

"The Model 1056 intelligent dual-input analyzer has been built around
customer requirements and has set new standards in ease of use and low total
cost of ownership," said John Wright, vice president of marketing, Rosemount
Analytical Liquid Division of Emerson Process Management. "These new product
upgrades and capability enhancements further our goal to ensure
sophisticated performance and simple operation in an advanced analyzer."

The Rosemount Analytical Model 1056 dual- or single-input analyzer is
available for purchase with the new capabilities starting in July 2007.
