New Eastern Regional Manager for IFS Sales
NEWTOWN, Conn., March 14: International Fiber Systems part of GE and the leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission networking equipment, has announced the hiring of Guy Walker, formerly of Optelecom/NKF, to manage the IFS Northeastern Sales Region. Guy will concentrate on supporting sales of IFS fiber optic products within the active Rep Network by educating IFS Reps and their customers of the benefits of fiber optic video, audio and data transmission.. Bruce Miller will continue to lead the IFS effort throughout the Southeastern United States.
Guy Walker brings three years of market experience in the security industry as the former eastern regional sales manager for Optellecom/NKF. That experience in the security market as well as his knowledge of fiber optic transmission technology made him the perfect candidate for this position. The move was made necessary by the unparalleled growth IFS has recently been experiencing in the demand for its fiber optic products. Management within IFS felt that with Guy's acute understanding of the requirements needed by the IFS manufacturers' representative channel, system integrators and dealers made Guy uniquely qualified to lead the IFS Northeastern Sales Region.. With the growing demand for fiber optic transmission products for the Surveillance and Data Communication Systems Market, using a transmission medium with a large information carrying capability such as optical fiber has become vital.
Walker graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, PA with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Management. His territory includes the upper Mid-Atlantic, New England and eastern Canada.
