New CD Offers Various Air Gaging Solutions

Highlight is MSK multi-functional device, combining pneumatic and tactile measurement

Freeport, IL-Stotz USA, L.L.C. announces availability of its newest CD, complete with full product specifications and pricing on the company's line of air gauging, tool taper cleaners, force check gauges and test equipment for quality control. Stotz products are found throughout the automotive, aerospace, medical and other precision metalworking industries, wherever accurate measurement of machined components is required. Free copies of this new CD are available on request from Stotz.

Highlighted in the new CD is the MSK multi-functional measurement and control device, which combines pneumatic and tactile touching for both in-process and post-process component inspection. Easy to operate, the MSK is adaptable to all statistical process control software and has the ability to network Stotz MSL or MSG columns, with output channeled to a single location via Ethernet. Thus, multiple measuring stations in a plant can be monitored on a single data line. The standard MSK features a full color 320 x 320 pixel graphic display programmable with a graphics editor, 18 measuring program capability, four LED indicators for rework/go/no-go/status, connection for external operator box and keyboard, RS232 and USB interface ports, air pressure (nominal pressure 3 bars) input with sliding valve and full Ethernet connection. The unit measures only 8.75" x 6" x 6.75". The optional operating box includes a mode switch for measuring program selection, manual calibration selection and a program start/stop.

Stotz, though relatively new in the North American market, is a major German supplier of air gauging and test equipment in Europe, with nine offices worldwide for application assistance, sales and service. Known for its high accuracy and resolution repeatability, down to 0.1 microns (0.000004"), Stotz is the standard for air gauging on small diameter hole measurement, 0.6mm typical, as well as the demanding tolerances of such applications as hypodermic needles of 0.1mm diameter. Its popular air gauging stations are used by many machine tool spindle and tool manufacturers, as well as end user shops, for gauging HSK and CAT tooling, power drawbars and other spindle interface components.
