New Article Available on How FluoroTechnology Helps Create Sustainable High-Performance Outdoor Apparel

EXTON, Pa.,  – AGC Chemicals Americas Inc. has announced that the FluoroCouncil, a global organization of which they are a member, has released a new article on the high-performance benefits of fluoro-technology for apparel applications. The article explains how the latest C6 fluorine chemistry provides long-lasting water and oil repellency for garments and nonwovens with a reduced environmental footprint that conforms to EPA mandates to phase out long-chain PFAC chemicals.

AGCCA is actively participating on the FluoroCouncil, a global group representing six of the world’s leading fluoro-technology manufacturers. The FluoroCouncil is proactively facilitating the transition from long-chain perfluorocarbons (PFC) to alternative short-chain fluorochemistries with improved environmental and biological profiles.

“The FluoroCouncil serves as an important voice for the fluoro-technology industry,” said Dr. Evan Laganis, CSR Officer for AGCCA. “Fluoro-technology is a vital and sustainable part of our modern society.”
