NEMA Business Innovation Council Seeks Innovative Company



ROSSLYN, Va.—The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Board of Governors is soliciting nominations for its inaugural Business Innovation Council (BIC)Illuminations Award recognizing a small- to medium-sized (SME) NEMA company. The award will be made at the association’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C., in November.



TheIlluminations Award will showcase a company that demonstrates outstanding leadership, service, entrepreneurial inventiveness, and other criteria established by the BIC Advisory Committee. In addition to being a NEMA member company in good standing, a nominee must be an SME manufacturer with annual reported in NEMA scope sales of $50 million or less. Full criteria are listed on the members-only BIC website.



According to NEMA President and CEO Kevin J. Cosgriff, visionary and hard-working individuals drive these enterprises.



“NEMA is defined by its dynamic membership.  The BICIlluminations Award will highlight companies that identify challenges faced by the electroindustry as a whole, as well as driving solutions. The award will be presented at the awards luncheon held in conjunction with NEMA’s 89th Annual Membership Meeting November 6, 2015, in Washington, D.C., at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The winner also will be announced in ei, the magazine of the electroindustry and elsewhere.
