NEMA Publishes Reaffirmations of MG 10-2001 (R2007) (R1997, R2001, R2007) and MG 11-1977 Energy Management Guides

ROSSLYN, Va., August 3, 2007-The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published reaffirmations of MG 10-2001 (R2007) Energy Management Guide For Selection and Use of Fixed Frequency Medium AC Squirrel-Cage Polyphase Induction Motors and MG 11-1977 (R1997, R2001, R2007) Energy Management Guide for Selection and Use of Single-Phase Motors.

Both standards provide practical information concerning the selection and application of motors, and reflect the commitment made by NEMA's Motor and Generator Section to keep the guides up to date with current technology. MG 10-2001 (R2007) includes typical characteristics of IEC Design H and N induction motors and information about the NEMA energy-efficient and NEMA Premium efficiency motor standards.
