NEMA Publishes NEMA Premium® 2014 General Specification for Consultants, Industrial and Municipal: NEMA Premium® Efficiency Electric Motors
ROSSLYN, Va., —The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) published NEMA Premium® 2014 General Specification for Consultants, Industrial and Municipal: NEMA Premium® Efficiency Electric Motors.
The intent of this specification is to outline the minimum requirements for three-phase AC induction motors applied to municipal and industrial applications for operation on voltages 5000 volts or less, rated 2500HP or less, operating more than 2000 hours per year at >75% of full-load.
This latest edition of NEMA Premium® 2014 includes revised and updated efficiency tables appearing in NEMA MG 1-2014.
NEMA Premium® 2014 may be downloaded at no cost or purchased in hardcopy for $49 on the NEMA website.
