NEMA Publishes ICS 4-2010 Application Guideline for Terminal Blocks
Press release date: Jan 05, 2011
ICS 4 applies to one-piece, or modular, or two-piece terminal blocks with screw-type, screwless-type, or insulation displacement clamping units intended for industrial use and fixed to a support or to a printed circuit board to provide electrical and mechanical connection for certain round, solid, or stranded conductors.
In this revision, the document was converted to an application guideline, since ICS 4-2005 duplicated tests found in UL 1059, UL 486E, and the IEC 60947-7-X series of standards. The publication provides practical information concerning ratings, construction, test, performance, and manufacture of industrial control equipment.
ICS 4 may be downloaded at no charge, or a hardcopy purchased for $76, by visiting www.nema.org/stds/ics4.cfm, or by contacting IHS at 800-854-7179 (within the U.S.), 303-397-7956 (international), 303-397-2740 (fax), or global.ihs.com.
