Romer achieved an industry first with the ability of their absolute encoders to “know” their positions at all times. This type of instrument is used in 3D digitizing, 3D modeling, point cloud inspections, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping or copy milling, and more. Equipped with a high precision flying dot laser scanner, accuracy of 20 microns can be expected. Difficult to scan materials, including shiny, colored, and mirrored surfaces are easily performed.

An operator can measure prismatic shapes, take dimensions, print reports and generate and run repeatable part programs in a fraction of the time.
