NCMT to Hold June Open House

A reprise of MACH 2012 is how NCMT describes the forthcoming open house at its Middlemarch technical centre near Coventry, to be held on Wednesday 13th June. Anyone wishing to visit should contact Susan Stamford on 020 8398 4277 or SusanStamford@ncmt.co.uk

The main difference this time will be that visitors will be able to see a live demonstration of Okuma's novel Turncutting in action on one of the Japanese manufacturer's horizontal machining centres. The patented software provides a way of exploiting circular interpolation and spindle orientation to turn tapered bores and outside diameters quickly and accurately.

All 'New at MACH' equipment will be on show again, including Okuma's GENOS range of entry-level CNC lathes and machining centres, which made their UK debuts in Birmingham. Okamoto's latest grinding machines will be in evidence, as well as Speroni tool presetters from Italy, BIG Daishowa toolholders and cutters, Xebec deburring tools, Kaiser precision boring, and NCMT's first ever agency range of workholding equipment from Techni-Grip, USA.
