NASA Awards Johnson Space Center Logistics Operations Contract



HOUSTON - NASA has awarded a potential 10-year, $89.5 million contract to L&M Technologies Inc. of Albuquerque, N.M., for logistics operations services at the Johnson Space Center.

L&M Technologies Inc. will provide logistics services including supply management, office furnishings, moving and hauling, space utilization and move coordination, property management, redistribution and utilization, packing and shipping, inbound freight services, vehicle fleet management, and special support services. The services will be primarily provided at Johnson, the Sonny Carter Training Facility and Ellington Field.

The contract's three-year base period, valued at $24.4 million, begins on March 1, 2008. Two one-year options could add about $17.4 million to the cost-plus-award-fee/cost-plus-fixed fee contract total. Five additional one-year award term options could add an additional $47.7 million. These options could extend the period of performance to a total of 10 years.
