NASA Awards Safety and Mission Assurance Contract at Kennedy



CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - NASA's Kennedy Space Center has awarded Millennium Engineering and Integration Company of Satellite Beach, Fla., a safety and mission assurance support services contract.

The cost-plus-award-fee contract is valued approximately $45.2 million during a four-year performance period, which includes a two-year base period and two, one-year options. The new contract consolidates several contracted activities currently supporting Kennedy's Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate requirements into a single support contract.

Program offices that will be supported by the contract include the Space Shuttle Program, International Space Station Program, Constellation Program, Center Management Operations and NASA Headquarters.

Services include performing risk assessments, inspections, mishap investigations, analyses, independent assessments, evaluations of work performed by other contractors and NASA organizations and maintaining applications and databases of Safety and Mission Assurances Directorate-related activities.
