Napco's StarLink, Now Universal Backup Alarm Reporting on GSM/GPRS National Network

Napco's StarLink is now on the GSM/GPRS National Network which is universal and offers greater coverage for backup alarm reporting. StarLink's Backup Wireless Radios simply connects between any alarm control panel and its telephone connection. Whenever the traditional telephone line connection (telco) fails, StarLink (SL1) radio wirelessly connects directly and expeditiously to the GSM network to transmit the alarm signal to any central monitoring station (designated at installation). To ensure ongoing dependability, the SL1 automatically sends a daily test signal to the network operations center. Any failure to check-in is reported to the central station.

Napco's StarLink Radios, SL-1/12, provide powerful universal backup alarm reporting and 12 months online service (renewable) universally compatible with all alarm panel brands. StarLink radios transmit alarm reports to any central station supporting standard CS formats, using the most state-of-the-art, data-only nationwide network available; not control channel/AMPS (analog cellphone which is in the FCC-established 'Sunset phase' of discontinuance by cellphone tower providers), and one in which StarLink alarm signals are assured to get highest priority on the network.

StarLink radios require no expensive programmers and are internet enrolled at NapcoStarLink.com, for easy, 24/7 account maintenance and signal verification. With easy 4-wire hookup, SL-1 radios are compact, rugged aluminium units with signal strength LEDs, and low current draw <20mA, allowing each to be powered from the alarm panel's existing battery. For ease and efficiency, each input channel is field-selectable for positive or negative trigger, connected directly to bell output or siren driver output, providing burg/fire reporting on only one wire.
