Nanostream Hosts Webinar on 'A Simple and Flexible System for Hit to Lead Identification'


Pasadena, CA - October 2, 2006 -- Nanostream, provider of products and services to increase productivity in laboratories at pharmaceutical and biotech companies, will host a webinar on "A Simple and Flexible System for Hit to Lead Identification" on Wednesday, October 4 at 11:00 am EST. Attendees will hear from Dr. Jun Wu, product manager for biochemical assays at Nanostream. Dr. Wu will introduce the Nanostream LD System, a separation-based assay detection platform that directly quantifies substrates and products, using separation-based techniques. He will deliver a detailed scientific presentation about the Nanostream LD System for target characterization, assay development, and secondary screening. In addition, Dr. Wu will provide data from assay experiments to demonstrate the system's ability to develop more assays, faster and with higher quality data. The 30-minute presentation will be immediately followed by a live Q&A session.

Dr. Jun Wu brings over 15 years of experience in immunoassays, biochemical and cell-based assays, and assay development to his role as product manager for biochemical assays. Prior to joining Nanostream, he worked in drug discovery at Celgene and at Signal Pharmaceuticals. He received his M.D. in Pediatrics from ChongQing University of Medical Sciences in 1983, his Masters in Molecular Virology from West China University in 1986, and his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from West China University in 1990. Dr. Wu has authored or coauthored 20 publications and is named inventor or coinventor on three U.S. patents.
