NAG Announces Global Expansion

The Numerical Algorithms Group announces the opening of a new office in Taipei to serve the Greater China region and also a simultaneous expansion of supporting staff in both Germany and France. The goal of this multi-pronged expansion is to give more users of technical computing software a better service as they access the 1600+ NAG Library mathematics and statistical routines and as they make use of NAG HPC consultants.

"When we set out our plan we knew having skilled NAG employees based in the key geographic regions was essential to providing service excellence," said Ian Reid, Chief Commercial Officer at NAG. "This is particularly true for our consultancy work and the relationships that we have with regional partners and academics."

Reid continues, "NAG remains at the cutting edge of algorithmic development through combining internal knowledge, feedback from users and strong two way collaborative relationships with leading academics around the world". ( www.nag.com/projects/index.asp )

NAG users work in international fields as wide ranging as automotive collision theory, financial modelling, molecular research and weather forecasting. According to Reid, this diverse market reach has enabled NAG to steadily grow its user base such that now is the time to provide the foundations for even better support for geographic regions into the future.
