NACE International officers will begin their terms March 16, 2007, following the close of the Annual Conference, CORROSION/2007, in Nashville, TN. Louis D. "Lou" Vincent, President of L.D. "Lou" Vincent PhD, Inc., and Senior Coating Consultant of Corrpro Companies, Inc., will serve as President. Independent Corrosion Consultant, Robert W. Herbert, will serve as Vice President, with Phil Fouche as Treasurer, and David Webster as Past President.

2007-2008 NACE Officers Announced



NACE International - Leaders in Corrosion Control Technology - has announced the slate of officers to serve the Association for the 2007-2008 term. The selected candidates will begin their terms March 16, 2007, the day following the close of the NACE's Annual Conference, CORROSION/2007, in Nashville, Tennessee. These positions include:
President - Louis D. "Lou" Vincent
Vice President - Robert W. Herbert
Treasurer - Phil Fouche
Past President - David Webster

Louis D. "Lou" Vincent, President of L.D. "Lou" Vincent PhD, Inc. and Senior Coating Consultant, Corrpro Companies, Inc. (Lafayette, Louisiana), will serve as President of NACE for the 2007-2008 term. He has been a member of NACE since 1983 and has served on the Exhibits Committee and Education Committee, of which he is currently chair. He has been a member of the NACE Coating Inspector Program Committee since 1995 and currently serves on the NACE Editorial Advisory Board and NACE Press Council. He served on the Board of Directors 1993-1995 as Exhibits Committee Chair and as Director-at-Large 1997-2000. Vincent received his M.Sc. in business administration as well as doctor of philosophy in business administration from the Pacific Coast University, Orange County, California. He is a NACE Certified Coating Inspector and is a NACE instructor.

Robert W. Herbert, an independent Corrosion Consultant for Ashland Performance Materials (Dublin, OH), will serve as Vice President for the 2007-2008 term. A member since 1979, Herbert has served in all capacities within the Pittsburgh Section and Eastern Area (formerly Northeast Region) including various positions within Section and Area conferences. He served on the Board of Directors 1992-1995 and in various capacities on the Regional Management Committee, and the Publications Committee. He has been a member of the Certification Committee since 1992 and has a history of active participation in numerous technical committees. Herbert received the 1985 NACE Pittsburgh Section Outstanding Service Award and the 1996 NACE Distinguished Service Award.

He holds both NACE Corrosion Specialist and NACE Materials Selection and Design Specialist certifications. Herbert received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Youngstown State University.

Phil Fouche, owner of Quatro Paints Products (Odessa, TX) for 28 years, will serve as the association's treasurer for the 2007-2009 term. He has been a member of NACE since 1991 and has been active on the NACE Coating Inspector Program Subcommittee since 2002. He is a NACE Coating Inspector Program instructor and holds a NACE Coating Inspector designation. Fouche received his Bachelor of Science degree in education and biology.

David Webster, Manager of Corrosion and Integrity Services for Colt Engineering Corporation (Calgary, Alberta), will serve as the 2007-2008 NACE Past President. A member since 1974, Mr. Webster has served on the Board of Directors from 1992-1995 and 2000-2003. He also has served on several Board committees: Member Area Operations, Region Management, Compensation, International Region Management, Certification, Member Activities, and Policy. He currently serves on the NACE Foundation Board of Directors (2003-2006). Webster has served most offices of the Calgary Section and the Northern Area (formerly Canadian Region). He has received the 1988 Canadian Region Outstanding Service Award and was selected Plenary Lecture of the 1994 First NACE International Latin-American Region Corrosion Congress and First Venezuelan Corrosion Congress. Webster received his B.A.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto. He holds a NACE certified Cathodic Protection Specialist certification.
