Mu Dynamics Provides Free IPv6 Ready Logo Test Content to Accelerate IPv6 Testing and Compliance for Routers and Hosts

Tens of Thousands of Automated Test Cases Ensure Compliance & Interoperability For the Most Pervasive Devices on the Network

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 4, 2010 -- Mu Dynamics, Inc. (www.mudynamics.com), the leader in testing next-generation network services, today announced the availability of pre-packaged IPv6 Ready Logo Test Content for the "IPv6 Ready Phase-1&2 Logo Program." This freely available content, aimed at pre-testing hosts (laptops, servers, PCs, etc.) and routers, will help organizations quickly and easily kick-start the testing required for the IPv6 Ready Logo Test Program. Interested parties can find out more technical details here.

"In addition to jump-starting their own IPv6 migration programs, the IPv6 Ready Logo Test Content enables our customers to perform pre-certification testing prior to engaging with formal certification labs like the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab," said Simon Berman, vice president of products, Mu Dynamics. "This content provides tens of thousands of stateful IPv6 test cases, including over 400 conformance and interoperability tests for the core IPv6 protocols supported by hosts and routers."

Mu Dynamics is an industry leader in providing customers with testing solutions that enable a quick and effective migration from IPv4 to IPv6. The Mu Test Suite for IPv6 already includes tools for testing the scalability, functionality, interoperability, security and resilience of services. This test content focuses on compatibility testing for routers and hosts, such as laptops and PCs, the most common devices in a network. When combined with the recently released USGv6 Test Content for network protection devices (NPD), Mu Dynamics continues to offer the most comprehensive testing solution for the IPv6 transition.

"As IPv6 Ready Logo testing is a key milestone for organizations transitioning to IPv6, we are seeing an increase in demand for our testing services," said Erica Johnson, director of the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab (UNH-IOL)."By adopting Mu's IPv6 Ready Logo Test Content, these organizations are empowered to quickly and easily perform their own automated pre-certification testing prior to utilizing our services. This instills confidence that they will pass the Logo testing the first time without the need for multiple engagements."

The IPv6 Forum, a worldwide consortium that provides technical guidance for the deployment of IPv6, manages the IPv6 Ready Logo Program, which is focused on conformance and interoperability testing. To achieve certification, a product must pass 100 percent of the appropriate conformance and interoperability tests. Mu Dynamic's partner, UNH-IOL, is the only lab in the U.S. approved to offer IPv6 Ready Logo certification. In addition, the UNH-IOL is accredited as a testing lab for the USGv6 Test Program and maintains the USGv6 Accredited Devices list.
