MTE Expands Its Matrix® Harmonic Filter Portfolio by Introducing the Matrix® APAX for the Asia Pacific Market
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — MTE Corporation , an SL Industries Company, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-efficiency electrical power quality solutions for commercial and industrial applications, introduces the patented Matrix® APAX Harmonic Filter. This filter series broadens MTE's portfolio of Matrix® harmonic filters to meet applications that require 10%-15% THID performance in theAsia Pacific market. The new line of harmonic filters comes in 380V-415V 50Hz, from 6A to 320A, in panel mount configuration.
Designed in the USA, the Matrix® APAX uses robust, proven components on a compact panel for easy integration and installation. Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and other non-linear electrical equipment can introduce harmful harmonics into neighboring equipment and onto the electrical grid system, resulting in poor power quality, reduced energy efficiencies and potential penalties from utility companies. Using Matrix® APAX passive harmonic filters can reduce the effects of these harmful harmonics to increase productivity and uptime.
The patented Matrix® APAX filter specifically targets applications that require 10%-15% THID in the HVAC, Elevators, Oil and Gas, Water/Wastewater, Irrigation, and Marine markets. Every Matrix® APAX filter is equipped with a contactor terminal block to allow a wide range of contactors to be installed in the field depending on the application.
