MRPC Acquires Johnson Precision, Expands Capabilities in Medical Device Component Manufacturing
BUTLER, Wis. (March 1, 2016) — MRPC, a single-source provider of medical device components and assemblies, has acquired New Hampshire-based Johnson Precision, a global supplier of plastic injection molded components and assemblies. Johnson Precision has extensive experience providing molded components as well as finished medical devices for the medical industry.
The acquisition offers several new advantages for MRPC. Johnson Precision has mold making capabilities for building plastic injection tooling, a service which MPRC did not offer previously. It also has a Class 8 clean room, bringing MPRC’s total to seven clean rooms companywide. In addition, Johnson Precision and its joint venture partner in Malaysia are both FDA-registered for producing finished medical devices. That partnership also opens new business opportunities for MRPC in the Pacific Rim region.

Johnson Precision employs approximately 40 people, and its New Hampshire facility will continue full operation as a division of MRPC.
The addition of Johnson Precision follows other recent expansions of MRPC. In 2014 MRPC completed a facility addition at its Butler, WI headquarters. The facility expansion included hiring additional staff, installing another ISO Class 8 clean room, and purchasing several new state-of-the-art molding machines to meet growing capacity needs. MRPC’s most recent acquisition occurred in 2012 when it purchased ETI, a silicone molding company in Largo, FL. The total employment at all three facilities is 200.
