More Than 200 SkyRAY Antenna Subsystems Sold Worldwide

Friedrichshafen/Amsterdam, September 7, 2007 - ND SatCom, an SES ASTRA company, is exhibiting at IBC in Amsterdam (booths 1.351 and OE320). The company announced today that it has sold more than 200 SkyRAY series antenna subsystems. "We set a new sales record in 2007", said Christian Adolph, Head of Marketing and Communications. "I remember last year: At IBC 2006 in September, we were able to showcase the 100th system. With more than 200 SkyRAYs sold today, this represents over 100 per cent sales growth in just one year and is a good indicator of how well the market embraces our technology," he explained. ND SatCom is showcasing two SkyRAY series members at its indoor booth and two antenna subsystems integrated in customers' SNG vehicles at the outdoor booth. It is also showcasing a new SkyRAY family member, SkyRAY Light 1200, for which ND SatCom is shortlisted for Cable & Satellite's International Product of the Year Awards.
ND SatCom integrates members of the SkyRAY series in both satellite news gathering vehicles and mobile communication vans for broadcast, government and enterprise customers. "The antenna subsystem series was originally developed for the broadcasting and media sectors, but very soon became the company's flagship mobile satellite solution product in more vertical markets," said Christian Adolph, who is in charge of the antenna subsystem series' marketing and works closely with R&D in product design. The aerodynamic stingray-shape of ND SatCom's SkyRAY series is a feature unique to the industrial segment.
