More New Equipment Expands Vibration Testing Services
Our A2LA certified test laboratory has seen an increase in market demand for vibration testing with and without temperature and humidity. Much of this demand is driven from MIL-STD and ISTA testing. To meet the needs of our customers we have expanded our vibration capabilities with a new electro-dynamic shaker table.
This new shaker allows us to expand our capabilities and breadth of testing adding additional capacity. The shaker offers larger batch processing, increased weight limits, force rating and displacement. It includes a 48” x 48” guided slip table with more fixture mounting holes than our pre-existing vibration shakers. Twice the capacity in weight and allows for increased throughput. The larger slip table is supported by a larger electro-dynamic motor that offers up to a 3” displacement and a force rating up to 13,500ft/lbs. with weight capacity of 1400lbs. In conjunction with the increased size and weight, the new shaker table can also reach a lower frequency than our other shaker tables. The lower frequency and GRMs levels provide a realistic simulation of expected vibration conditions from transportation of freight.
Additional capabilities also include a more robust software package that allows for test variations including, sine, random, random sine, sine sweep and more. This software also adds custom reporting for flexibility to tailor test reports.
As always, all of our shaker tables have the option of combining temperature and humidity with vibration testing. The temperature and humidity chamber hood, which can be positioned over the shaker table, has an internal volume of over 87cu/ft.
