Monroe Engineering Products LLC Achieves AS9100 Rev C Quality Certification for Aerospace Industry
Auburn Hills, MI - April 27, 2012 -- Monroe Engineering Products LLC, a leading global industrial hardware and hinge company, received their AS9100 Rev C certificate on August 4, 2011, after an extensive analysis of their quality systems.
Established by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), AS9100 Rev C is the latest quality management system standard applicable to suppliers of products to the aerospace, aviation, and defense industries. It incorporates all of ISO:9001 and places additional emphasis on structured design and validation methodologies, configuration management, and identification and traceability.
Achieving certification involves significant commitment from all employees. Working with the aerospace industry requires that suppliers have extremely rigorous quality management systems, and AS9100 Rev C provides a number of criteria that must be fulfilled to guarantee customer satisfaction. It also includes requirements for planned and continual improvement of quality management systems.
