MoGo Mouse X54 Named as Finalist in Bluetooth 'Best Of CES' Competition

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8 - CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW - Newton Peripherals, the developer of the revolutionary MoGo Mouse(TM), today announced that its MoGo Mouse X54 has been selected as a finalist in the Best of CES 2007 contest, sponsored by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).

"Newton Peripherals takes advantage of Bluetooth wireless technology by putting a unique twist on a familiar device to create a truly innovative product," said Michael Foley, Ph.D., executive director, Bluetooth SIG. "The MoGo Mouse X54 is a great example of how Bluetooth technology can be used to extend a product line or create a whole new category of user friendly devices."

The MoGo Mouse X54(TM), introduced today, is a Bluetooth-enabled wireless mouse designed for mobile computer users whose laptops are equipped with an ExpressCard/54 slot, including those manufactured by Acer, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, HP, Lenovo, NEC and Toshiba. It folds flat, stores and recharges in the ExpressCard/54 slot, and delivers a full range of user benefits, including:

o Built-in center scrolling capability through an integrated scroll pad;
o Integrated battery that recharges when stored in ExpressCard/54 slot;
o No software drivers required;
o More user-intuitive feel, with deeper finger depressions for more
natural operation; and
o "Auto-on" functionality when the mouse is removed from the laptop's
ExpressCard/54 slot.

"We are honored by the nomination of the MoGo Mouse X54 as one of the best Bluetooth products at CES," said Matthew Westover, Newton Peripherals' President and Chief Executive Officer. "Millions of laptop users will benefit from its small form factor, yet full-sized performance. The combination of Bluetooth wireless and our patent-pending technology deliver a product that mobile computer users simply cannot find anywhere else."

Winners of the "Best of CES" contest will be announced at the Bluetooth SIG member celebration party on Tuesday, January 9. The winning products will be sent on an in-studio tour in 10 top-tier media markets in late January.

MoGo Mouse X54 will be available in the second quarter of this year from a worldwide network of authorized resellers, at an MSRP of $79.99. More information about the new MoGo Mouse X54 is available at
