Mobius Recognizes Customer Achievement and Introduces New Compliance Solution at Annual Users Conference

Sixteenth Annual Conference Focuses on Compliance Solutions, Content Integration and Business Applications that Drive Measurable Value
RYE, N.Y., March 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mobius Management Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOBI), the leading provider of software for total content management (TCM), today announced the winners of the annual Mobius Customer Achievement Awards, presented this year to eight organizations whose use of Mobius software meets the highest standards for innovation and delivering value. The awards were presented at the sixteenth annual Mobius Users Group Conference held this year in Las Vegas, Nevada. Another highlight of the conference was the introduction of ABS for Spreadsheet Compliance, a new solution that mitigates risk and eases the burden of regulatory compliance by centralizing and managing the lifecycle of business-critical spreadsheets.
The conference theme, "Driving Value," was reinforced in more than 60 conference sessions presented by Mobius staff, partners, customers and keynote speaker Randolph A. Kahn, Esq., who explored how information management success today relies on collaboration and cooperation across all departments. Platinum sponsor Sun Microsystems delivered a second keynote address discussing how an integrated solution can address both content management and storage challenges. Broad themes in conference sessions included regulatory and legal compliance, enterprise-level records and e-mail management, content integration and content-centric applications that address specific business requirements.

Mobius Customer Achievement Awards recognize the innovative, beneficial and strategic use of Mobius technology. The winners were chosen from hundreds of Mobius ViewDirect® TCM implementations that drive revenue, improve customer service, enable regulatory compliance, and reduce the costs of doing business.

This year's Mobius Customer Achievement Awards winners are:
Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), a world leader in agricultural processing, has made ViewDirect TCM the organization's standard solution for document content, including text reports, accounts payable invoices, spreadsheets, Web-generated documents, and images. ADM has reduced print by over ninety percent, automated an accounts payable application using Mobius's WorkflowDirect, and cut three days off its close cycle. ADM won the award for best strategic application.
The loan services subsidiary of a major investment bank and brokerage won the award for best cost-reducing application. The company originates and services 20,000 new residential mortgage loans per month. By utilizing document imaging and workflow to capture and route loan applications, loan operations were automated from origination through closing and costs reduced by $15 per loan. Cost savings were achieved by reducing FTE's and non-personnel expenses, allowing for movement of work to the lowest-cost producer, and eliminating courier, storage and copying costs.
Farmers Insurance Group, the nation's third-largest provider of personal lines of property and casualty insurance, uses ViewDirect TCM to deliver sales, loss, accounting and billing information to 15,000 agents via the Farmers Agency Dashboard, an "e-agent platform" that provides intranet access to auto, fire, life and commercial systems. Nine thousand employees across the United States also have access to the data via an employee portal. Reports that used to take two to eight weeks to reach agents are now available to agents almost immediately, improving responsiveness to customers. Farmers won the award for best customer service application.
First Data Corporation, a leading provider of electronic commerce and payment solutions for businesses and consumers worldwide, was recognized for the best revenue-generating application. FDC uses ViewDirect TCM to deliver a privately labeled product that provides access to account information for hundreds of financial institution customers. Access to report data, check images and AFP statements has enhanced revenue generation while reducing costs. Today, FDC has over 12 petabytes (1 petabyte = 1,000 terabytes) of content stored in ViewDirect repositories.
International Truck and Engine is the operating company of Navistar International Corporation, which manufactures and markets medium and heavy trucks and mid-range diesel engines. International Truck and Engine won the award for best ROI achievement for a ViewDirect TCM solution that eliminated a paper-based price book that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to produce each year. When the project was implemented, dealers had immediate Web-based access to the price book saving the company, to date, well over $1 million.
LASON, Inc., one of the world's leading providers of business process outsourcing solutions, was recognized for the most innovative use of technology for document DNA(TM), an application that provides online data and document management solutions for LASON customers. Using ViewDirect TCM's Java API, Lason built an Internet-based front end that is easily tailored to each customer's needs.
VF Services, Inc., a division of VF Corporation, a leader in branded apparel, utilizes ViewDirect TCM for imaging and archiving its accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, materials management and risk management enterprise content for the corporation. VF Services selected ViewDirect TCM as an enterprise standard for its repository, search tool, and viewer. They converted over a terabyte of images and data from another system into ViewDirect TCM. VF Services won the award for best strategic conversion.
Harford County, Maryland received special recognition for public service for an application that enables developmentally disabled individuals to retrieve their records for viewing and printing with just a few clicks of the mouse and giving them a sense of teamwork and accomplishment.
The Mobius Users Group Conference is an annual forum for users of Mobius software to convene and learn about new techniques, gather application ideas, gain first-hand knowledge of cutting-edge new product releases and exchange ideas with other Mobius customers.
