Mitsubishi Showcases Complementary Technologies at Westec Booth #3532

January 17, 2007

Wood Dale, IL - Mitsubishi announces its extensive lineup of complementary technologies to be showcased at Westec booth #3532. Mitsubishi will highlight the latest EDM, hole popper, waterjet, and high-speed vertical machining equipment.

The new FA10 Advance wire EDM features a new M700 Series Mitsubishi control. The Windows-based system with 15-inch LCD touch screen display provides a simple menu configuration allowing for easy navigation. The machine has the world's first 3D adaptive EDM control, which can analyze 3D data and recognize shape characteristics virtually eliminating transition lines in stepped workpiece areas.

Waterjet Powered by Mitsubishi Electric has been designed to complement EDM and laser technologies with the precision of Mitsubishi controls and servo system. The 4-axis Waterjet Suprema's software features Intelligent Tapering Control, which corrects the natural tapering of the cut automatically. Through the CNC it inclines the water jet up to ± 2 degrees while pointing the jet towards the cutting direction. This process allows for the optimum cutting speed in a contour with accurate wall straightness.

Roku-Roku's HC-658 High-Speed Vertical Machining Center provides a multi-purpose design unsurpassed for the high-speed machining of mold steels and graphite electrodes. Its one-piece box style cast base and mono-block column and crossbeam support provides excellence in quality and rigidity.

In addition, Mitsubishi's hole popper technology and consumables from CPG (the Consumable Products Group) will be on display at the show.

Mitsubishi's superior products are backed by industry-leading service and support. With regional satellite service locations across the country, our localized service teams can respond instantly. Our knowledgeable service team will be at the booth to discuss how Mitsubishi goes above and beyond to deliver excellence in customer service.
