Midwest Food Manufacturers Applaud USMCA Agreement

Jason Culotta, President of the Midwest Food Products Association issued the following statement in response to news that the administration and House Democrats having reached an agreement on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA):

“The Midwest Food Products Association is pleased with the news that the Trump Administration and House Democrats have reached agreement concerning the USMCA. We thank U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal, and members of the House Democrats’ Working Group for their perseverance and active participation in forging this historic agreement.

We trust this development will now pave the way for final approval of USMCA quickly, which will benefit food manufacturers, American agriculture and consumers.”
