Metrobility Names Key Executives

Expands management team to manage revenue growth

Merrimack, NH-October, 17, 2005-Metrobility Optical Systems, a leading provider of carrier Ethernet access equipment, today announced the promotion of four managers to newly created executive positions which reflect an expansive period of company growth. The skill and leadership demonstrated by these individuals consistently contributes to Metrobility's increasing market share in the rapidly expanding carrier Ethernet market.

Steven Curtis, formerly vice president of worldwide sales and service, has been promoted to senior vice president of worldwide sales and service. Curtis continues to be responsible for Metrobility's sales activities and customer support services in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa and plays a key role in expanding the company's current customer base and its entry into new markets. "Steve has been directly responsible for Metrobility's focus on service provider customers as well as year-over-year revenue growth. In the first half of 2005, about 55% of our revenue was produced by service provider customers, and we now have over 60 worldwide service provider customers," stated Alex Saunders, president and CEO. Curtis has been with Metrobility since February, 2003.

Larry Goodhue has been promoted to vice president of finance and administration. Goodhue enters the position from his previous post as corporate controller. "Larry is now responsible for all financial reporting and compliance, as well as human resources and IT," stated Saunders. Goodhue joined the company in 2000.

Bernie Rozmovits has been promoted from director to vice president of engineering. "Bernie has brought a mature, steady management style that has focused on our engineering processes and procedures and strengthened the communications and relationships with third party technical organizations," Mr. Saunders continued. "Bernie possesses a very strong technical capability and has been both a strong individual contributor by designing some of our highest volume models, and has provided engineering leadership as we have migrated to a significantly more feature-rich Ethernet and wavelength multiplexing product offering." Rozmovits has been with Metrobility since 2001.

Manu Kaycee, former director of system architecture, has been promoted to vice president of product strategy and management. "Manu has consistently demonstrated his in-depth networking technical prowess working with engineering on product plans, detailed product architecture and feature definitions; supporting sales and marketing, and representing Metrobility in the Metro Ethernet Forum," continued Saunders. "Manu's promotion provides more focused product management to support the company's strategic direction in the carrier Ethernet market." Kaycee has been working with the company since 2002. He holds three patents and has originated 10 other patents. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Bombay University.
