Metcal Wins SMT China Vision Award for the APR-2000-SCS Scarab Site Cleaning System
GARDEN GROVE, CAÂ – Metcal is pleased to announce that it was awarded a 2015 SMT China Vision Award in the category of Repair Rework for its APR-2000-SCS Scarab Site Cleaning System. The award was presented to the company during an April 21, 2015 ceremony at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Convention Center during NEPCON China.
The Scarab can accurately and repeatedly clean pads with pitches of 0.2mm to 1.5mm. The open-ended board holder fits a wide variety of large, small and odd-shaped boards while allowing positioning over the patented dual subzone preheater. When equipped with the optional APR-SCS-UK1 Underfill Removal Upgrade Kit, the Scarab adds the capability to assist in the removal of reworkable underfills from underneath surface mount components.
