Metal Finishing Specialist Achieves Prestigious Nadcap Accreditation

Weymouth, UK, 5th September 2005 - Following determined initiatives,
designed to significantly enhance its position as a leading metal finishing
specialist, Weymouth based Tecan has joined one of the industry's most
exclusive supplier groups - with the
announcement that it has received Nadcap accreditation. The accreditation
follows in-depth auditing by the Performance Review Institute (PRI) and is
in the category Chemical Processing - which includes highly-specialised
anodising and plating techniques.
Accreditation at this elevated level provides a new platform for the company
allowing it to develop new relationships with OEMs and their fellow Nadcap
accredited suppliers, dealing with prestige companies such as Honeywell,
Boeing, Airbus, BAE Systems, Bell Helicopter and Rolls Royce, operating at
the forefront of aerospace and automotive manufacture and design.
"Nadcap accreditation represents a major achievement for Tecan and will
allow us to grow our business even further, particularly in the most
high-tech sectors such as aerospace," said Seamus Bourke, Business Manager
of the company's ultra-modern Precision Metal Finishing Facility.
"Statistical process control, quality and total traceability are key to our
success and fundamental to the accreditation. We have had to prove to the
auditors at all levels that our clients' specifications can be satisfied,
from receipt to delivery and with full quality assurance, to meet the strict
requirements of the standard. We are both pleased and proud to gain this
recognition."
Tecan is believed to be the only south-coast UK independent specialist to
achieve the accreditation. In just three years, the company's metal
finishing division has doubled in size and cites team spirit, specialist
training and prompt delivery as core elements of its success. Business
turnover has also grown significantly - by over 80% last year alone.

consensus approach to special processes and products and provide continual
improvement within the aerospace industry. Nadcap is the PRI's brand name
