MESA International and LNS Research to Share the Latest 'Metrics That Matter' Research

Global Manufacturing Community and Technology Research Firm to Release Key Manufacturing Metrics Research Findings in a Free Webcast and Summary Report

Cambridge, MA and Chandler, AZ – LNS Research, a technology research firm focusing on the industrial space, and MESA International, a global not-for-profit industry association that helps manufacturers understand the role of Information Technology in plant operations, will be sharing the findings of a five-month research study on manufacturing performance improvements in a webcast entitled: "2013-2014 Manufacturing Metrics that Really Matter," on Wednesday, April 16.

Presented by LNS Research Principal Analyst Mark Davidson and moderated by Julie Fraser, Outreach Director for MESA International, the webcast is targeted at manufacturing executives, manufacturing IT professionals, continuous improvement team members, and plant managers/supervisors seeking to improve and optimize their business performance. The research identifies trends and correlations between specific business and operational metric improvements, the use of Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) and other enterprise manufacturing software applications, role-based metrics reporting, and the effect of emerging technologies such as mobility, big data, and cloud computing on metrics programs. In addition to the webcast, the research findings will be available in a free summary report to attendees.

"We are excited to present the results of this 2013-2014 research that extends the previous MESA Metrics research work into new operational and technology areas that manufacturers and software suppliers are seeing as transformational to their businesses going forward," states Mark Davidson of LNS Research. "We also appreciate the support we have from a great group of sponsor companies that have helped to guide the research, including: Epicor, InfinityQS, Plex Systems, Schneider Electric/Invensys, and Rockwell Automation"

"MESA's point of view is that metrics do matter to manufacturers' success, and that manufacturing matters to the global economy. MESA is delighted to moderate this webcast, as well as to host an 'UnConference' session covering this research at the upcoming MESA 2014 North American Conference from May 5-7 in Milwaukee, WI," says Julie Fraser of MESA International.

Manufacturing professionals industry-wide are invited to attend the webcast on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT by registering here. In addition to the webcast companion summary report, which provides a high-level overview of the research findings, attendees will also receive a copy of the '2013-2014 Manufacturing Metrics that Really Matter' infographic, which illustrates the key points of the research in visual form.
